The First Cycle of VITA GLOBAL Project has started

Training modules will be developed at Iakob Gogebashvili Telavi State University in the field of technology, biochemistry, viticulture and marketing.

Elaboration of the modules will be accomplished under the guidance of European partner universities involved in the project. Thereafter, joint programs will be developed in the field of Viticulture-Winemaking at all universities.

The decision was made during the first workshop carried out at the University of Cuyo, Mendoza City, Argentina within the framework of the VITA GLOBAL project that is co-funded by the European Commission.

Participants of the workshop inspected the Winery of the University where only students are employed.  They also inspected local successful wineries and got familiar with the wine production technology.

Telavi State University professor-teachers of the faculty of Agrarian Sciences will be involved in the workshops from the second cycle (May 2019) of the project implementation.This perspective definitely and events carried out and planned in the field of agriculture were the subject of the conversation between Telavi State University Rector, Irma Shioshvili and Cuyo University Dean of the Faculty of Agricultural Sciences, Professor Maria Flavia  Filippini.

Despite the European Universities of  Bordeaux (France) and Bologna (Italy), Universities of Argentina, South Africa, Uruguay and Chile are also involved in the VITA GLOBAL project. The project covers three years and Telavi State University is the only one involved in it from Georgian side.
