For the development of the tourism industry - another meeting was held in TeSaU under the HERIPRENEURSHIP project

Telavi State University is the only Georgian partner of the Kavala Development Agency project. According to the project, five countries of the Black Sea basin will create a new tourist corridor through the monuments of cultural heritage included in the UNESCO list. Greece, Turkey, Moldova and Romania will be involved in the project through different organizations. Iakob Gogebashvili Telavi State University is the only educational institution among the participating parties.

A press conference about the product was held at the university today by project managers from different countries. According to the project coordinator, Nicholas Thomaidis (Greece), a product combining education and entertainment, accessible to tourists of all ages, will be created through UNESCO protected monuments. "It will be equally interesting for tourists of all ages, an e-book will be developed, educational modules about geolocations will also be prepared. The corridor will be a unique, multimedia service in the territory of the Black Sea basin", said Thomaidis.

Telavi State University has already submitted a list of 10 cultural heritage sites, among which Telavi Architecture, Batoni Castle, Erekle Monument, Telavi Marriage House, Telavi Wine Cellars, Millennial Plane Tree and Shuamta Monastery were included. The final product created within the framework of the project will be presented at 2023 Berlin International Tourism Exhibition.
