The first international meeting of the EU Erasmus+ project “Developing and Implementing Technology-Enhanced Teaching and Learning at Georgian HEIs – DITECH” was held online on February 25-27, 2021 through the Zoom platform.
Along with Iakob Gogebashvili Telavi State University the other Georgian and European leading universities were the participants of the meeting as well.
The meeting was organized by the project coordinators – Tallinn University Professor Sirje Virkus and Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University Professor Izabela Petriashvili.
The meeting was opened by Tallinn University Vice-Rector, Professor Andres Jõesaar. He emphasized the importance of electronic teaching and its role under the pandemic conditions, in the era of digital technologies.
DITECH coordinators introduced the project goals, objectives, EU evaluators’ comments, the initial plans and the outcomes of the first national meeting of Georgian universities to the meeting participants.
Within several days the working groups have been created, plans concerning the information and knowledge management, quality management, risk management, dissemination management and IT group have been elaborated.
The nearest plans, objectives and upcoming activities for the project implementation have been discussed by the working groups and summarized during the general meeting.
