The Czech professors from Brno Mendel University of the Czech Republic recently visited Iakob Gogebashvili Telavi State University. Professors Katerina Ryglova and Ida Rašovska met with the university rector, Shalva Tchkadua, as well as representatives from two of the university faculties.

Specifically, 10 students from Iakob Gogebashvili Telavi State University embarked on a study visit to Amsterdam within the Pact4skill project.

The event, organized at Iakob Gogebashvili Telavi State University within the framework of Pact4skill, brought together stakeholders from various sectors.

The meeting, held in a hybrid format, was attended by representatives from different Georgian universities, as well as foreign participants and local representatives.

Iakob Gogebashvili Telavi State University became a partner of the largest Erasmus+ project.

According to the decision of the European Union, the universities of Belgium, Italy, Spain, Ukraine and the Caucasus Region will be involved in the innovative institutional development project in the direction of renewable energies and energy efficiency.

Professors from the University of Tuscia, Italy are visiting Iakob Gogebashvili Telavi State University.

Visit of the researchers in the field of viticulture-enology, Associate Professor Anna Carbone, Full Professor Marco Esti and Associate Professor Rita Biasi, is taking place within the framework of the Erasmus+ ICM project student and academic staff exchange programme.

On May 14-18, 2023, the chief specialist of Telavi State Uiversity International Relations Office, Nino Korinteli, the Dean of the Faculty of Agricultural Sciences, Levan Shavadze, and the Professor of the Faculty of Agricultural Sciences, Manana Kevlishvili, were in Graz (Austria). They took part in the study visit planned within the framework of the DUGEOR project funded by the European Commission.

On June 19-24, 2023, Telavi State University head of the International Relations Office, Tamar Aslanishvili, and the chief specialist of the International Relations Office, Nino Korinteli, took part in the international week organized by the University of Coimbra (Portugal).

Within the framework of the international project _ BSB 831 HERIPRENEURSHIP, Tamar Aslanishvili, Head of the International Relations Office and Tamar Tamarashvili, Dean of the Faculty of Social Sciences, Business and Law, took part in the meetings planned in Tulcea City, Romania.

The academic staff of Iakob Gogebashvili Telavi State University Faculty of Social Sciences, Business and Law were in Turkey (Trabzon) within the framework of the international project BSB 831-HERIPRENEURSHIP.

On May 31 and June 1, 2023, Iakob Gogebashvili Telavi State University hosted the events planned under the project BSB831 HERIPRENEURSHIP. The tour included the visit of international tour operators, press tour, information days and meeting with interested persons.

Iakob Gogebashvili Telavi State University was visited by the representatives of Pavlodar Pedagogical University and Innovative University of Eurasia (the Republic of Kazakhstan).

On April 6, a workshop was held at Telavi State University within the framework of the international project - Responsible Conduct of Research - "Research Integrity and Ethics in Georgian Universities (ETHICS)".

Two representatives of the international project UCM Italy visited Iakob Gogebashvili Telavi State University. The Secretary General of the project, Anatoly Polosin, and the coordinator of entrepreneurial practice in Georgia, Vladimir Lungu, met with the University Rector Shalva Chkadua, the Head of the International Relations Office Tamar Aslanishvili, and students from different faculties.

On April 3, an internal workshop was held in Telavi State University within the framework of the international project –Responsible Conduct of Research - "Research Integrity and Ethics in Georgian Universities (ETHICS)".

Eight students from Iakob Gogebashvili Telavi State University won the competition of "Erasmus+" and "Swedish Institute" exchange programmes and will continue their studies at Czech and Romanian universities.

Monika Banach-Kokoszka, professor of WSB University of Dąbrowa Górnicza, Poland, gave a lecture about women stories at Iakob Gogebashvili Telavi State University. The Polish professor introduced various stories about women to the students of the educational program of History within four days. Monika Banach-Kokoszka discussed future plans with the supervisors of the educational program of History.

Iakob Gogebashvili Telavi State University representatives participated in the international exhibition held in Berlin, the capital of Germany.

Online training was held in Iakob Gogebashvili Telavi State University within the framework of the project co-financed by the European Commission.

On March 1, TeSaU representatives participated in the first national meeting under European Commission funded project “Responsible Conduct of Research – Research Integrity and Ethics in Georgian Universities (ETHICS)” organized by Ilia State University.

A training-workshop was held at Iakob Gogebashvili Telavi State University within the Erasmus+ project. The academic and administrative staff of the university attended the meeting within the framework of the DITECH project - "Developing and Implementing Technology-Enhanced Teaching and Learning at Georgian HEIs’’.

Telavi State University will be involved in the international project "Responsible Conduct of Research - Research Integrity and Ethics in Georgian Universities (ETHICS)", which will start in February of the current year. The first national project funded under the Erasmus+ Institutional Development Program ERASMUS-EDU-2022-CBHE-STRAND-3 will be implemented under the coordination of Ilia State University and will contribute to raising the research culture in universities. 

On December 30, the Psychological Counseling Center for students was opened in TeSaU within the framework of the ERASMUS+ international project E-PSY.

On December 19-22, 2022, within the framework of the PACT4SKILL project funded by the European Commission, Tamar Aslanishvili, the head of TeSaU International Relations Office, participated in the meeting that was organized by the project coordinator university.

On November 5-6 of the current year, a training-workshop was held at Iakob Gogebashvili Telavi State University within the framework of the EU-funded ERASMUS+ project "Developing and Implementing Technology-Enhanced Teaching and Learning at Georgian HEIs _DITECH".

On December 8, 2022, within the framework of the Erasmus+ institutional development project “Learning Optimization and Academic Inclusion via Equitative Distance Teaching and Learning” (LoveDistance), Iakob Gogebashvili Telavi State University hosted partners from Portugal, Spain, Israel and Romania.

Telavi State University is the only Georgian partner of the Kavala Development Agency project. According to the project, five countries of the Black Sea basin will create a new tourist corridor through the monuments of cultural heritage included in the UNESCO list. Greece, Turkey, Moldova and Romania will be involved in the project through different organizations. Iakob Gogebashvili Telavi State University is the only educational institution among the participating parties.

On November 15-17, Professor Ursula Markowska-Manista of University of Warsaw (Poland) and Associate Professor of Transylvania University of Brasov (Romania) Daniela Popa were guests at Telavi State University. The visit was carried out within the framework of the ERASMUS+ project CISI ("Innovations in the curriculum to support social inclusion") funded by the European Commission.

On October 10-14, 2022, within the framework of the European Union Erasmus + project DITECH (Developing and Implementing Technology-Enhanced Teaching and Learning at Georgian HEIs), the second meeting of the trainers was held for the representatives of the National Center for Teachers’ Professional Development, the academic staff of Georgian universities participating in the project in Kaunas (Lithuania).

The International Conference of the Project Πιερική Αναπτυξιακή ( BSB Smart Farming ) on new technologies, #innovation and #intelligent #agriculture (SmartFarming) was successfully organized by Black Sea Basin CBC Communication network for projects on Wednesday the 12th of October Participants from Black Sea countries (Armenia Enterprise Armenia, Bulgaria Universitatea "Dunărea de Jos" din Galați Romania Business agency association

On October 21, TeSaU was visited by an Israeli delegation led by Avraham Elkabetz, the mayor of Afula City. The guests were hosted by representatives of Telavi State University administration. 

On September 27-30, Telavi State University hosted another meeting of VitaGLOBAL project. In parallel with the assessment of the project progress, meetings and discussions were held on sustainable viticulture and winemaking, marketing and tourism.

On October 10, in connection with the International Day of Mental Health, a psychologist of Telavi State University met with the students.

Telavi State University is involved in the international project "HERIPRENEURSHIP", one of the main goals of which is to raise the awareness of cultural heritage and support its economic benefits. This time, the first newsletter was developed in Georgian language, which is a kind of report of the activities carried out in 2021.

From July 1, 2022, the project ProGriCC - "Production of Grapes in Changing Climate" - funded by the Swedish Institute is being implemented at Telavi State University. The Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences is the coordinator of the project.

On July 4-7, 2022, the next working meeting of the LOVEDISTANCE project funded by the European Commission was held in Barcelona. The meeting was attended by the representatives of all project partner universities from Georgia, Israel, Romania, Porto and Spain.

The LLL course developed within the framework of the RURD project funded by the European Commission took place on June 9, 2022. It was attended by the teachers and students of College "Prestige", in addition to the representatives of Telavi State University.

On December 26, the Smart Farming team of Telavi State University conducted an online workshop for the students of educational institutions in Telavi district. The purpose of the meeting was to familiarize youngsters with another project being implemented at TeSaU funded by the European Union. 

On June 3-8, 2022, Tamar Aslanishvili, head of the International Relations Office, was in Barcelona​​within the framework of the international project LOVEDISTANCE, funded by the European Commission.

From May 29 to June 3, 2022, Tamar Aslanishvili, the Head of Telavi State University International Relations Office and Medea Ormotsadze, Professor at the Faculty of Agrarian Sciences, participated in the International Week organized by the University of Coimbra (Portugal). 

Through May 22-28, 2022, within the framework of the EU Erasmus + project DITECH (Developing and Implementing Technology-Enhanced Teaching and Learning at Georgian HEIs), the first training of trainers was held in Tallinn (Estonia) for the academic staff of Georgian Universities participating in the project and representatives of National Center for Teacher Professional Development.

On May 20, 2022, within the framework of the LOVEDISTANCE project, which aims at equal access to and democratization of higher education, university training was conducted for the academic staff of Telavi State University.

Since 2019, Telavi State University has been implementing the international project co-funded by the European Commission “Curriculum Innovation for Social Inclusion”  (CISI) which aims to promote social inclusion of PwDs (people with disabilities) by improving the quality of inclusive education in schools.

On May 18, 2022, an informational meeting was held for the academic and administrative staff of the College “Prestige” as part of the LOVEDISTANCE project, which aims at equal access to higher education and democratization.

The next consortium meeting was held at Telavi State University on May 2-4 within the framework of EU funded Project RURD. 

The next meeting of the EU funded Project - 598507-EPP-1-2018-1-ES-EPPKA2-CBHE-JP  -  “A Global Network for Agricultural Sciences and Viniviticulture: Internationalising through Joint Programmes” (VitaGLOBAL) was held in Argentina  through April 3-8, 2022. The meeting was organized by Universidad Nacional de Cuyo – UNCUYO (Mendoza, Argentina).

From March 29 through 31, 2022 Iakob Gogebashvili Telavi State University representatives attended the meeting organized by the University of Santiago de Compostela (Spain). The meeting was held within the framework of the EU-funded ERASMUS+ CBHE Project “Role of Universities in the Regional Development” (RURD).

On March 13-17, 2022 Iakob Gogebashvili Telavi State University participated in the meeting organized within the framework of the EU-funded ERASMUS+ CBHE project “Role of Universities in the Regional Development” (RURD). Vytautas Magnus University (VMU) hosted the meeting in Kaunas, Lithuania. 

On March 14-17, 2022, another meeting of the LOVEDISTANCE project was held in Tel Aviv (Israel). After the pandemic, this was the first face-to-face meeting within the framework of the project. The meeting was hosted by all partner universities in Israel.

Within the framework of the EU funded project VITAGLOBAL, professors from the University of Rovira i Virgili (Spain), Antonio Russo and Vinka Woldarsky conducted training for the Georgian partners of the project.

On February 19, on the occasion of International Plagiarism Prevention Day, Iakob Gogebashvili Telavi State University arranged an online meeting “Academic Integrity” for professors, teachers and students.

The next management meeting of the partner universities of the EU-funded project RURD was held at Shota Meskhia State Teaching University, Zugdidi. 

The whole world is celebrating Erasmus Days on October 14^th, 15^th and 16^th. Meeting with Iakob Gogebashvili Telavi State University academic staff was dedicated to those days.  It was held on October 15^th, 2021 within the frames of the European Commission co-funded project “Learning Optimization and Academic  Inclusion Via Equitative  Distance Teaching  and  Learning” (LOVEDISTANCE).

On September 25-29, 2021, a meeting was held in Varna City, Bulgaria within the framework of the Black Sea Basin Project - “BSB831 HERIPRENEURSHIP” – “Establishing Long-Lasting Partnerships to Upgrade Heritage-Based Offers and Create New Investment Opportunities in Tourism and the Cultural and Creative Industries at UNESCO Designated Areas in The Black Sea Basin”. The meeting was attended by the project partner organizations and other interested parties from Bulgaria.

From October 4^th 2021 Iakob Gogebashvili Telavi State University is hosting Croatian professors from the Polytechnic of Požega. 

On September 28^th, 2021 Iakob Gogebashvili Telavi State University conducted meetings with the representatives of the local self-governance in the frames of European Commission funded project RURD.

On September 22^nd, 2021 Iakob Gogebashvili Telavi State University hosted the training for the university staff  in the frames of European Commission funded project RURD.

Within the framework of the European Commission funded project RURD (“Role of Universities in the Regional Development”) the Memorandums of Understanding have been signed among Iakob Gogebashvili Telavi State University, Telavi City Hall, Telavi Municipal Assembly and Administration of the State Attorney in Georgia’s Administrative-Territorial Units (Akhmeta, Gurjaani, Dedoplistskaro, Telavi, Lagodekhi, Sagarejo, Signagi, Kvareli municipals).  

The second online  consortium (June 30, 2021 - July 2) and the second national (July 27-29, 2021) meetings in the field of development were held within the framework of the European Union Erasmus+ project DITECH (Developing and Implementing Technology-Enhanced Teaching and Learning at Georgian HEIs).

On July 30th Iakob Gogebashvili Telavi State University hosted UNICEF Representative in Georgia Dr. Ghassan Khalil.

Within the framework of the HERIPRENEURSHIP Project, the next consulting meeting was held with supporting organizations at Telavi State University. A report form, representing one of the considerable parts for successful implementation of the project, was reviewed during the meeting along with other interesting matters. A research should be done in order to find out capacities of interested parties and audiovisual sector circumstances.

On July 9, 2021, within the framework of the EC funded project “RURD”, Iakob Gogebashvili Telavi State University vice-rector for scientific affairs Nunu Geldiashvili, on behalf of the university rector, signed the memorandum about the foundation of a standing conference for rectors of regional universities. The meeting was hosted by the project coordinator Akaki Tsereteli State University.

From June 27 to July 1, 2021, the next meeting under the RURD project was hosted by Batumi Shota Rustaveli State University, State Maritime Academy and Art Teaching University. 

On 22^nd of March, 2021 coaching of the second module – Microbiology – prepared within the framework of the European Commission funded project VITAGLOBAL, was arranged  for Iakob Gogebashvili Telavi State University staff. The name of the course is “New Tendencies in Microbiology, Wine Ageing and Wine Safety”.

On 5-7^th of May, 2021, within the framework of the European Commission funded project (RURD), Masaryk University (the Czech Republic) conducted a training for the project partner Georgian universities.

Telavi State University representatives took part in the second transnational meeting within the framework of the HERIPRENEURSHIP project. The meeting was held online on 12^th of May, 2021. It was a collaborative event that was hosted by one of the project partners UBBSLA.

On May 27-28, 2021, within the framework of the EC-funded Project RURD another meeting was held at Akhaltsikhe Samtskhe-Javakheti  State University. Regulation of regional rectors’ conference was discussed at the meeting. The partner universities presented their vision and made a draft of the whole document at the end of the meeting.

Under the Memorandum of Cooperation between G. Skovoroda  Kharkiv National Pedagogical University and Iakob Gogebashvili Telavi State University an international “Round Table” was held on May 17^th. TeSaU academic staff of the Faculty of Educational Sciences were among the participants of the event. It was dedicated to the scientific week taking place in Ukraine and organized in an online regime.

On March 25-30, 2021, within the framework of EC funded project (RURD), FH Joanneum University of Applied Sciences (Austria) conducted a training for the project partner Georgian universities concerning strategy development for the internationalization of universities. 

Today, within the framework of the project CISI, meeting with partner organizations, members of the faculty board of Educational Sciences, Telavi partner public schools and other interested parties was organized at Iakob Gogebashvili Telavi State University. Presentation covered the activities and future work provided under the project.

On March 4-5, 2021 within the framework of the EC funded project (RURD), Vytautas Magnus University (Lithuania) conducted a training for partner universities. The training was attended by the project working group members from Iakob Gogebashvili Telavi State University. 

The first international meeting of the EU Erasmus+ project “Developing and Implementing Technology-Enhanced Teaching and Learning at Georgian HEIs – DITECH” was held online on February 25-27, 2021 through the Zoom platform.

On February 19^th, in connection with the International Day of Plagiarism Prevention, Iakob Gogebashvili Telavi State University arranged an online informational meeting “Academic Integrity”.

The first national workshop of the Erasmus+ winner project “Developing and Implementing Technology-Enhanced Teaching and Learning at Georgian HEIs – DITECH” was held online on February 10-11, 2021 through the Zoom platform.

The European partner of the EC funded project RURD - the University of Santiago de Compostela conducted online trainings for the project partner university representatives. The trainings were conducted  within the framework of the abovementioned international project on January 25, 26, 27 and February 4, 2021.

The workshop  “University - Industry Cooperation: Georgian Case Studies" was held within the framework of  Erasmus+ project VitaGLOBAL on December 15th. 

On December 21-22 the online meeting was held within the framework of the Black Sea Basin project BSB831 HERIPRENEURSHIP that was attended by the project partner organizations and parties interested in the project. During the meeting, the partners presented their organizations and the project coordinator made a presentation. The second meeting day covered the virtual tour around the UNESCO protected monument (Greece, Philip).

On December 1^st, an online meeting was arranged at Iakob Gogebashvili Telavi State University concerning the scholarship programmes of Hungary.

The third quarter, virtual workshop was held on October 29th within the framework of the EC funded project – ERASMUS+ “LoveDistance – Learning Optimization and Academic Inclusion via Equitative Distance Teaching and Learning”.

The International Staff Week took place at Mendel University (Brno, the Czech Republic) - one of the partner universities of TeSaU - on October 20^th. Present-day challenges concerning Covid-19 and factors hindering international mobilities were discussed during the meeting.

Activities within the framework of  EC funded project – VITAGLOBAL – are proceeded at Iakob Gogebashvili Telavi State University.

On October 8^th 2020, an online-meeting was arranged with the Erasmus+ international project “ESTA” (“Educating Science Teachers for All” (ESTA - 609719-EPP-1-2019-1-DE-EPPKA2-CBHE-JP)) coordinator  (Silvija Markic – Ludwigsburg Pedagogical Institute).

Within the framework of European Commission co-funded project – “Academic Integrity for Quality Teaching and Learning in Higher Education Institutions in Georgia (INTEGRITY)”, - the final online meeting of the project management was held  on October 6-7. Georgian and European project partners took part in the meeting.

Iakob Gogebashvili Telavi State University will be involved in another project funded by the European Commission from January 2021.  The project  - “Developing and Implementing Technology-Enhanced Teaching and Learning at Georgian HEIs – DITECH” - goal is to improve the quality of higher education at Georgian universities through the development and implementation of technology-enhanced teaching and learning.

Workshops under the project -  “Curriculum Innovation for Social Inclusion – CISI”  implemented with the support of  “Erasmus+” – were held at Iakob Gogebashvili Telavi State University on August 25-27.

USAID Primary Education Program Supervisor Nancy Parks, Grants Manager Nikoloz Chachkhiani and University Collaborations Coordinator Ana Abuladze visited Iakob Gogebashvili Telavi State University on August 31.

Presentation of the projects being implemented at TeSaU in the field of tourism was held at Iakob Gogebashvili Telavi State University.

On June 9, 2020, within the framework of the “INTEGRITY” project, an online meeting “Plagiarism and its Negative Impact” was conducted for Telavi State University students of the Teacher Training Educational Program.

Online meetings were arranged under the project VITAGLOBAL on June 22-23, 2020. On the first day of the meeting, participants discussed the situation around 6 modules worked out within the frames of the abovementioned project.

The next online meetings were carried out within the framework of the EC co-funded project VITAGLOBAL on April 7 and 20, 2020. The first meeting covered the problems and challenges arose while working on the microbiology module.

Online meeting within the framework of the EC co-funded project LOVEDISTANCE (Learning Optimization and Academic Inclusion Via Equitative Distance Teaching and Learning) was carried out on April 27th, 2020

Within the framework of the EC funded project VITAGLOBAL an online meeting was carried out on March 23rd, 2020.

Within the framework of the INTEGRITY project, distance trainings were conducted at Iakob Gogebashvili Telavi State University on April 1st.  The remote trainings were intended for TeSaU academic staff and undergraduate students as well. The subject of the trainings was: using  TURNITIN in preparing Bachelor/Master Theses.

The next meeting within the framework of EC funded project -598507-EPP-1-2018-1-ES-EPPKA2-CBHE-JP -  “A Global Network for Agricultural Sciences and Viniviticulture: Internationalising through Joint Programmes” – was held on February 25-29 at Stellenbosch University, South Africa.

Within the framework of “Erasmus+ “  international project  -  “Curriculum Innovation  for Social Inclusion” (CISI) – an informational meeting was held at Iakob Gogebashvili Telavi State University on March 6^th.

 Within the framework of “INTEGRITY” program, an informational meeting was held for the students of the vocational college “Prestige” on February 21st.

Within the framework of Erasmus+ international project Iakob Gogebashvili Telavi State University staff of the faculty of Education Sciences - Professor Nino Modebadze, Associate Professor Tamar Mikeladze and Invited Doctor Natela Bagatrishvili visited Ludwigsburg University of Education (Germany) on February 16-19 of the current year.

The first meeting under the project “Role of Universities in the Regional Development”, funded by the European Commission, was held at Akaki Tsereteli Kutaisi State University on December 9-10, 2019.

Akaki Tsereteli Kutaisi State University became the coordinator of EC funded Erasmus+ institutional development (CBHE) project “Role of Universities in the Regional Development” in 2019.

Under the “INTEGRITY” program, informational meeting was held for local public school pedagogues at Iakob Gogebashvili Telavi State University on February 21st.

Iakob Gogebashvili Telavi State University representatives are conducting informational meetings about plagiarism.

Iakob Gogebashvili Telavi State University representatives met with the students of Pankisi Gorge Public schools on February 19th and spoke about plagiarism.

Meeting of grantee organizations was held in Brussels on January 27-28.

The representative of German International Institute of Hospitality in Georgia, Nutsa Tsigroshvili, conducted an informational meeting at Iakob Gogebashvili Telavi State University on February 18th.

Within the framework of the project -  “CISI Curriculum Innovation  for Social Inclusion” -  an informational meeting was held at Iakob Gogebashvili Telavi State University.  

The third consortium meeting of Erasmus+ institutional development project – “Academic Integrity for Quality Teaching and Learning in Higher Education Institutions in Georgia (INTEGRITY)” – was held at Shota Rustaveli Batumi State University on January 21-22. The meeting was attended by the project members from Telavi State University as well.   

Iakob Gogebashvili Telavi State University professors and teachers participated in ERASMUS+ CBHE consortium meeting on October 31st and November 1st. The meeting was held at Samtskhe-Javakheti State University within the framework of the project - “Academic Integrity for Quality Teaching and Learning in Higher Education Institutions in Georgia (INTEGRITY)”.

Iakob Gogebashvili Telavi State University is involved in another new international “Erasmus+” project - ,,Learning Optimization and Academic Inclusion Via Equitative Distance Teaching and Learning-(LOVEDISTANCE)’’.

Informational Meeting within the framework of EU funded project – Vita Global – took place at Iakob Gogebashvili Telavi State University on December 5th.

Telavi State University Associate Professors Shalva Tchkadua and Tamar Mikeladze attended the trainings at Leuven University (Belgium) on October 15-17, 2019. The trainings were organized within the framework of Erasmus+ CBHE Programme grants project  - “PRINTEL” -585760-EPP-1-2017-1-AM-EPPKA2-CBHE-JP – “Change in Classroom: Promoting Innovative Teaching & Learning to Enhance Student Learning Experience in Eastern Partnership Countries”.

The third consortium meeting of the EC (European Commission) co-funded project ,,VitaGLOBAL" was held at the Universities of Chile and Talca (Chile, Santiago) from October 8-11.

Informational meeting was held at Iakob Gogebashvili Telavi State University on October 24^th.  The meeting concerned “Erasmus+” exchange programme.

 “Erasmus+” National Office representatives – Tata Lortkipanidze and Nino Urushadze - made a presentation at Iakob Gogebashvili Telavi State University on October 24^th. The presentation was about “Erasmus+” joint master programmes (Degree Mobility).

Within the framework of “Pop-Up-Embassy” project  – “UK/Georgia2019” British Ambassador to Georgia Justin McKenzie Smith met with Iakob Gogebashvili Telavi State University students.

Frankfurt Integrative School Professor Lutz Kunze visited Iakob Gogebashvili Telavi State University together with his German colleagues on October 2.

Within the frames of ERASMUS+ exchange program, representatives of the Polytechnic of Požega (Croatia) – Silvija Pirc-Baltić, Ana Mrgan, Stanko Zrinščak, Tomislav Soldo - have been to Iakob Gogebashvili Telavi State University on a working visit.

On 16-17 of May in 2019 the international conference “Innovative teaching and learning in Higher Education Institutions” took place in Yerevan State University (YSU) in the frame of ERASMUS+ PRINTeL project “Change in Classroom: Promoting Innovative Teaching & Learning to Enhance Student Learning Experience in Eastern Partnership Countries” organized by the project coordinator Yerevan State University.

In the framework of Erasmus+ programme, Iakob Gogebashvili Telavi State University will be involved in several more projects funded by European Commission. EU grants programme will finance six projects in Georgia and Telavi State University will be involved in four of them.

European National Offices of the International Project – “Erasmus+” identified the winner projects.

Within the framework of Erasmus+ Exchange Program Iakob Gogebashvili Telavi State University hosted the delegates from Paul Bocuse Institute in Lyon (France).

The coordinator of Erasmus+ PRINTeL project, Yerevan State University Vice-Rector - Mr. Armen Budaghyan and the project co-coordinator - Miss. Mary Santurjan paid a working (monitoring) visit to Iakob Gogebashvili Telavi State University on June 29th.

On June 16th, the representatives from different higher educational institutions of Ukraine visited Iakob Gogebashvili Telavi State University.

New partnership relations have been established between Iakob Gogebashvili Telavi State University and Polytechnic University of Milan. The parties planned future exchange programmes and joint researches during the visit to Italy paid by TeSaU Rector Irma Shioshvili, Head of International Relations Office Tamar Aslanishvili and other administrative staff.

On May 21^st, within the framework of the INTEGRITY Project, TeSaU Professor Lali Dzamukashvili conducted training for students at Iakob Gogebashvili Telavi State University.

Within the framework of the project VITAGLOBAL, co-funded by the European Commission, the second meeting was held at the University of Porto, Portugal on May 1-4. The meeting was attended by Iakob Gogebashvili Telavi State University Head of International Relations Office, Tamar Aslanishvili and Dean of the Faculty of Agrarian Sciences, Manana Kevlishvili.

At the end of July, the best Georgian students will take a trip to Chateauneuf town, France. Selection process of students has already started. In order to participate in the selection process, twenty students from Iakob Gogebashvili Telavi State University Faculty of Agrarian Sciences are already taking free courses in French language. Four students, selected according to the contest, will be familiarized with French wine making standards, French Organic Farming and French culture within two weeks.

Representatives of  “The International Institute of Hospitality” carried out informational meeting at Iakob Gogebashvili Telavi State University on March 6^th. They gave students detailed information regarding different international projects.   

Training modules will be developed at Iakob Gogebashvili Telavi State University in the field of technology, biochemistry, viticulture and marketing.

Trainings, within the framework of Erasmus+ CBHE Programme grants project – “PRINTeL”-585760-EPP-1-2017-1-AM-EPPKA2-CBHE-JP- “Change in Classroom: Promoting Innovative Teaching & Learning to Enhance Student Learning Experience in Eastern Partnership Countries”, took its start at Iakob Gogebashvili Telavi State University from February 1^st. 

Memorandum of Understanding was signed between LEPL Iakob Gogebashvili Telavi State University and LTD “International Black Sea University” on January 28^th. 

Iakob Gogebashvili Telavi State University is hosting two-day international consortium. Workshops that combine Georgian and European leading universities are being held within the framework of the European Project - “Academic Integrity for Quality Teaching and Learning in Higher Education Institutions in Georgia (INTEGRITY)”.

Within the framework of Erasmus+ CBHE Programme grants project – “PRINTeL”-585760-EPP-1-2017-1-AM-EPPKA2-CBHE-JP- “Change in Classroom: Promoting Innovative Teaching & Learning to Enhance Student Learning Experience in Eastern Partnership Countries”, a reporting meeting was held at Iakob Gogebashvili Telavi State University on January 23^rd. 

Iakob Gogebashvili Telavi State University Head of Dissertation Board, Professor Maya Gonashvili visited the University of Barcelona (Spain) on December 9-15.

On November 12-16, Iakob Gogebashvili Telavi State University Assistant-Professor Ana Gigauri and Associate Professor, Head of the University Quality Assurance Office, Shalva Tchkadua attended the training at the University of Porto (Portugal).

On December 25-26^th, informational meeting was held with Iakob Gogebashvili Telavi State University students of the faculties of Humanities and Exact and Natural Sciences. The meeting was held within the framework of the project “INTEGRITY”.

Iakob Gogebashvili Telavi State University Professor of the Faculty of Social Sciences, Business and Law, Ia Jimshitashvili visited Linkoping University (Sweden) on December 2-8.

Iakob Gogebashvili Telavi State University Professor, Nino Dzamukashvili was awarded the certificate of the trainer.

Iakob Gogebashvili Telavi State University Head of International Relations Office, Tamar Aslanishvili has been to the University of Avignon (France) and Orange Wine School under the working meeting.

On November 26th, testing in English language took place at Iakob Gogebashvili Telavi State University that was organized by TeSaU International Relations Office.  

Telavi State University representatives visited Uppsala University (Sweden) within the framework of the project “Academic Integrity for Quality Teaching and Learning in Higher Education Institutions in Georgia (INTEGRITY)” on August 29-31.

Retraining trainers in innovative teaching and learning methods has started within the framework of Erasmus+ PRINTeL project – “Change in Classroom: Promoting Innovative Teaching & Learning to Enhance Student Learning Experience in Eastern Partnership Countries”. The first training week was held at Graz (Austria) FH Joanneum University of Applied Sciences on November 5-9 concerning hybrid learning/teaching.

Informational meeting, concerning educational exchange programs in the United States of America, was held at Telavi State University on November 6th, 2018.

Informational meeting concerning the exchange programmes for TeSaU students took place at Iakob Gogebashvili Telavi State University on November 1^st.

New projects were planned among Telavi State University and the partner universities of Lithuania, Spain, Czech Republic, Israel and Romania. Decision about the implementation of new projects was made during the closing meeting of the EU funded project “Developing Programs for Access of Disadvantaged Groups of People and Regions to higher Education’’. The meeting was held at Masaryk University, Brno on October 7-12, 2018.

On October 8^th, Iakob Gogebashvili Telavi State University hosted the Chairman of Estonian-Georgian Community Zaza Tsereteli, Professor of Tallinn University of Technology, director and co-founder of E-MAP Foundation MTU Vlad Vernygora and other respectful guests as well. During the meeting the parties discussed about the elaboration of joint educational grants project in which TeSaU will be actively involved.

On September 25^th, Telavi State University hosted another consortium meeting within the framework of the international project “UNISON”. Representatives of foreign and Georgian universities attended the opening ceremony of “Science Festival 2018”. After Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University, the meeting participants visited Telavi State University as well. The project participants discussed about the implemented activities, talked about future plans and familiarized with the Innovation Center work.

On July 25th of the current year, an internal meeting took place at Telavi State University Library Hall. The meeting was arranged within the framework of the international project “INTEGRITY”.

Under  ERASMUS+ PRINTEL 585760-EPP-1-2017-1-AM-EPPKA2-CBHE-JP   project “Change in Classroom: Promoting Innovative Teaching & Learning to Enhance Student Learning Experience in Eastern Partnership Countries”,  working meeting with students and academic staff was held  at Iakob Gogebashvili Telavi State University on July 13, 2018.

Terry Burte, French Embassy Attaché for Scientific and University Cooperation is interested in the educational programs of Iakob Gogebashvili Telavi State University and potential of the field of agriculture.

Memorandum of cooperation with Frankfurt Integrative School will be renewed from the next year.

Chairperson of Southern Africa Georgia Chamber of Commerce Marius Heyns visited Iakob Gogebashvili Telavi State University on June 29th. On his initiative, a memorandum will be signed by Southern Africa Stellenbosch and Telavi State Universities. The memorandum provides exchange of students and staff, implementation of joint researches in the field of viticulture-winemaking.

Further training courses in using modern teaching technologies will be available for Iakob Gogebashvili Telavi State University academic staff and students from the new academic year at TeSaU. With that purpose, Iakob Gogebashvili Telavi State University representatives were at Barcelona (Spain) and Porto (Portugal) Universities on June 11-16, 2018.

Workshops, within the framework of the international project “INTEGRITY”, were held at Telavi State University on July 9, 10, 11. The workshops covered the aspects of teaching electronic systems.

On June 18-23, the next working meeting was held at Haifa University (Israel) within the framework of the EU funded international project DARE (“Developing Programs for Access of Disadvantaged Groups of People and Regions to Higher Education“). The meeting was attended by the project members and students from partner universities.

The next meeting under the EU funded project UNISON (University-Enterprise Cooperation via Spin-Off Companies Network) was held at the University of Santiago de Compostela (Spain) on June 10-11. The meeting was about the quality of ongoing activities and work implemented under the project, evaluation procedures, development of website and virtual portal.

Virtual aspects of teaching and learning will be introduced at Iakob Gogebashvili Telavi State University.

The next consortium meeting of the DARE Project, funded by the European Commission, was held at Sokhumi State University and Ilia State University on November 20-23.

Within the framework of the international Project UNISON, Santiago de Compostela University (Spain) hosted training for the Project member University representatives.

Wider objective:

Promoting Bologna process implementation through enhancing university-enterprise cooperating via spin-off companies best practices.

Specific Project Objectives:

Telavi State University representatives, under the international project – “UNISON” – attended the meeting at Berlin University of Applied Sciences.

Under the EU funded project “UNISON”, “The Incubator of Ideas” will be created at Iakob Gogebashvili Telavi State University.

Business sector, existing in Kakheti, got a business proposal from Iakob Gogebashvili Telavi State University. In that regard, TeSaU Rector met with the representatives of different enterprises together with the international project – “UNISON” team members. During the meeting Irma Shioshvili spoke about the plan of establishing Technological Center at TeSaU and proposed entrepreneurs to have firm relations with the University.
