From March 29 through 31, 2022 Iakob Gogebashvili Telavi State University representatives attended the meeting organized by the University of Santiago de Compostela (Spain). The meeting was held within the framework of the EU-funded ERASMUS+ CBHE Project “Role of Universities in the Regional Development” (RURD).

At the meeting Telavi State University representatives along with the ones from Regional Universities overviewed the ongoing phase of the Project, presented reports on the LLL courses and Quality Assurance of the Project Implementation, discussed ongoing and future activities, made decisions regarding the final Conference. Telavi State University was chosen as the host of the next meeting under the project.

The aim of the RURD project is based on European experience to improve the role of Georgian regional HEIs in the development of a region, to modernize Mission and Strategic Development Plan of regional universities, to strengthen cooperation between universities and local authorities to increase their capacity taking into account specification of each region.
