Iakob Gogebashvili Telavi State University representatives attended the meeting of the DUGEOR project consortium, funded by the European Commission. University professor Manana Kevlishvili and representatives of International Relations Office Tamar Aslanishvili and Nino Korinteli attended the first meeting at Georgian Institute of Public Affairs (GIPA).
The name of the project is "Strengthening Capacities for the Implementation of Dual Education in Georgian Higher Education" and its duration covers 4 years. The European partners introduced the dual education models of successful countries to the Georgian participants of the meeting. In addition to the presentations of the participating institutions, all the works that are planned within the framework of the project were presented at the meeting.
Telavi State University is the leader of the fifth pilot package, which means that piloting of the developed dual model in partner enterprises will be carried out under its leadership. The partner of the university in the dual model will be the Wine Enterprise "Shumi".
Five higher educational institutions from Georgia are participating in the project. The project was initiated by the University of Novi Sad in Serbia and its European partners are German and Austrian universities. The Ministry of Education and Science of Georgia and the National Center for Educational Quality Enhancement are also involved in the abovementioned project.
