Terry Burte, French Embassy Attaché for Scientific and University Cooperation is interested in the educational programs of Iakob Gogebashvili Telavi State University and potential of the field of agriculture.
This year, active cooperation between Georgia and France has already started in the field of higher education.
The meeting in Paris dedicated to agriculture was attended by the Dean of the Faculty of Agricultural Sciences. Certain relations were established among different higher educational institutions in the capital of France. In order that the first contacts with French higher educational institutions to be grown into real cooperation, it is quite essential to familiarize partners with the educational programs and university structure.
“Making firm relations with Kakheti Region, namely, Telavi State University is very important for us” – declared Terry Burte.
The fields of agriculture, winemaking and tourism provoked special interest of Terry Burte.
During the meeting with the University Rector, Irma Shioshvili, specific objectives regarding exchange programs and joint researches were set.
