The next online meetings were carried out within the framework of the EC co-funded project VITAGLOBAL on April 7 and 20, 2020. The first meeting covered the problems and challenges arose while working on the microbiology module. The second meeting covered the tourism module. The online meetings from Telavi State University were attended by the head of the International Relations Office Tamar Aslanishvili, professors working on the tourism and microbiology modules under the project Tamar Tamarashvili, Lela Tsiklauri and Medea Ormotsadze. A new plan of working on the module was also agreed during the meeting. Project participants started working on the syllabus and literature provided by the course.
Within the framework of the abovementioned project trainings are planned to be conducted at Telavi State University in autumn 2020. Modern methodology will be discussed during the trainings and practical lessons will be delivered as well. The training in the field of tourism will be led by Porto University professor Paolo Russo and in the field of microbiology the training will be conducted by the professors from the University of Bordeaux (France) Eduardo de Lacasa and Pierre-Louis Teissedre.
VITAGLOBAL is the EC co-funded project that provides internationalization of the Viticulture-Winemaking MA program. Except for the European partners (Spain, France, Portugal) the project members are also the Universities of Latin America (Argentina, Chile, Uruguay) and South Africa.
