On 29 September 2026, a meeting was held within the framework of the YALA (BSB01271) project with the Akhmeta Municipal Youth Advisory Council.

During the meeting, Project Expert Shalva Chkadua spoke about the importance of active youth participation and the practical mechanisms that allow youth councils to transform local concerns into concrete initiatives and proposals.

Participants discussed challenges faced by young people in the municipality, the results of existing activities, and issues such as youth spaces, mobility, skills and employment, environment, and well-being.

A significant part of the discussion was dedicated to the views of the young participants themselves. They shared their experiences, identified the issues they considered most important, and discussed possible steps toward meaningful local change.

Meetings of this kind are important because they help transform young people’s experiences from individual opinions into structured positions, concrete proposals, and dialogue with relevant bodies.
