1. The Development of a Curriculum and Establishment of a Regional Training Platform for Haematology in Life Sciences and Medicine (DECERPH).(Project №544282-TEMPUS-1-2013-1-UK-TEMPUS-JPCR) 2. “Developing Research Skills in Pupils for the Purpose of Producing Eco-Products with Natural Resources through the Microbiological and Biochemical Research” - the winner project of LEPL Shota Rustaveli National Science Foundation State Grants Contest 2017 -"Science Starts from School - Research Collaborated by School Students" (scr/18/9/17).
The goal of the project “Developing research skills in pupils for the purpose of producing eco-products with natural resources through the microbiological and biochemical research” is to conduct relevant biochemical, microbiological and technological researches at TeSaU facilities; Promotion of production and use of eco-products in schoolchildren; Popularization of ecologically clean bread and cheese among teachers and pupils of Telavi public schools as well as different interest groups. The direct target group of the project is 12 pupils of VIII-XII grades of Telavi №1 Public School, the indirect target groups are teachers and pupils of public schools of Telavi municipality, farmers working in the target area and legal entities engaged in agribusiness. The project will start on September 25, 2017 and is expected to be completed on May 11, 2018. After the completion of the project, through biochemical, microbiological and technological studies pupils will build awareness of ecologically clean products; develop research skills such as information retrieval, hypothesizing, data sorting / processing skills; will be able to plan / implement research phases, conduct control test; The interest in natural subjects will increase and motivate student’s participation in scientific research; the activities of the existing clubs in the field of research will be stimulated; networking across schools will be achieved through the introduction and popularization of the results obtained. The project will enable schoolchildren to work in the TESAU labs with scientists, doctoral students and acquire the skills of safe use of laboratory equipment that will result in close cooperation between schools and the university. |
