1) Project Scientific Director _ Professor Nino Kotchloshvili
Mass Scientific Publication of Davit Turdospireli's Essays Within the framework of the project, the goal of our research is the mass scientific publication of Davit Turdospireli's essays. This publication will provide readers with a comprehensive understanding of Davit Turdospireli's literary legacy, encompassing selected works from his artistic creations as well as critical and journalistic writings. We believe the research problem is both interesting and relevant, as it will contribute to a more comprehensive exploration and analysis of specific aspects of Davit Turdospireli's work, uncovering many previously unexplored and entirely new features. Our aim is to gather extensive and comprehensive information on Davit Turdospireli’sworks, thoroughly explore his creative process, evaluate his literary achievements, and demonstrate his significant role in the evolution of 20th-century Georgian literature. Additionally, we aim to highlight the enduring relevance of Davit Turdospireli's work and its contemporary significance. Much of Davit Turdospireli's literary legacy remains unpublished, despite frequent appearances of his works in periodicals and occasional small collections during his lifetime. These unpublished works encompass a variety of themes and genres, and they are primarily preserved as manuscripts in the Giorgi Leonidze Museum of Literature, with many being autographs. Autographs play a crucial role in accurately selecting texts for publication. They provide researchers access to the writer's creative process and facilitate an authentic representation of the author's intent in their work. We believe this project holds significant importance for the Kakheti region. The scholarly publication of Davit Turdospireli's writings will provide practical value by not only popularizing his literary works but also bringing his literary legacy into academic circulation. |
