The Best Students of TeSaU will travel to France

 

At the end of July, the best Georgian students will take a trip to Chateauneuf town, France. Selection process of students has already started. In order to participate in the selection process, twenty students from Iakob Gogebashvili Telavi State University Faculty of Agrarian Sciences are already taking free courses in French language. Four students, selected according to the contest, will be familiarized with French wine making standards, French Organic Farming and French culture within two weeks.

Detailed discussion around the abovementioned project took place at Iakob Gogebashvili Telavi State University. French Maecenas – Gerard Germain and Chateauneuf Mayor – Emanuel DelMonte met with TeSaU Rector, Irma Shioshvili and Head of International Relations Office, Tamar Aslanishvili. During the meeting they spoke about future cooperation, students and academic staff exchange matters.

Gerard Germain visited Telavi State University for the second time. After his first visit, TeSaU took counter steps and students from the faculty of Agrarian Sciences study French language without any charge.

Furthermore, distance courses were planned to take place at TeSaU. Before students’ visit to France a Memorandum of Cooperation will be signed.

During the meeting with Telavi State University Rector, Chateauneuf Mayor – Emanuel DelMonte denoted that Kakheti has a unique, world-wide culture of vine and Telavi State University was selected for that reason.

Students’ selection and traveling process was coordinated by the Embassy of French Republic in Georgia. The meeting between Telavi State University Rector and French delegation was organized by the famous Georgian painter, culture legate of France, Levan Mosiashvili.
