On 30 September 2026, a meeting was held within the framework of the YALA (BSB01271) project with the Gurjaani Municipal Youth Advisory Council.

As part of the meeting, Project Expert Shalva Chkadua delivered a presentation on youth participation in public life, cooperation with local authorities, and result-oriented implementation of youth initiatives.

The discussion focused on how issues identified by young people can be turned into clear requests, how relevant information can be gathered, and how youth councils can bring those issues into formal dialogue with local government. Also stressed the importance of preparing a clear issue, concise evidence, and a specific request before meeting with local authorities.

Young participants shared their views, discussed issues they considered important, and reflected on practical steps that could help address existing local challenges.

Meetings of this kind provide a space where youth voices can develop into more concrete initiatives and result-oriented dialogue with local authorities.
