The workshops were designed to provide participants with up-to-date knowledge, practical tools, and international perspectives on sustainable tourism development, while strengthening cooperation between academia and tourism stakeholders.

The training programme covered the following topics:

·        Sustainability in the Tourism Industry;

·        Sustainability and Tourism Impacts;

·        Destination Management and Destination Governance;

·        Business Model Canvas (BMC);

·        Trends and Changes in Consumer Behaviour in Tourism.

The workshops were delivered by Professor Tengiz Simashvili and Associate Professor Tamar Tamarashvili of Iakob Gogebashvili Telavi State University.

Throughout the programme, participants explored current approaches to sustainable tourism, destination management strategies, innovative business planning tools, and the impact of changing consumer behaviour on the tourism industry. The sessions combined theoretical perspectives with practical case studies and interactive discussions, enabling participants to exchange experiences and examine real-life challenges faced by the tourism sector.

The second series of workshops generated a high level of engagement and attracted considerable interest from participants. They actively contributed to discussions, shared their professional experiences, and highly appreciated the relevance of the topics and the practical value of the training.

At the conclusion of the programme, the external stakeholders expressed a strong interest in participating in future workshops of this kind and emphasized the importance of continuing similar capacity-building initiatives that foster knowledge exchange, professional development, and closer collaboration between the university and the tourism sector.
