On March 5, 2026, representatives of ELSEVIER - the international digital scientific publishing house - held a training session at Tbilisi State University on the topic: “Building on Georgia’s Scientific Capacity: Advancing European Collaboration, Research Quality, and Modern Standards“.

ELSEVIER Customer Consultant and Research Data Analyst Bartek Wieckowski, Research Solutions Account Manager Giorgia Nicolini, and Customer Success Manager Anton Degtev discussed the current state of science in Georgia, key indicators of research productivity, and the fundamentals of research strategy planning and development. The meeting also addressed the potential applications of artificial intelligence in academic work, along with related ethical and quality issues.

From Telavi State University, the training was attended by Vice-Rector for Scientific Affairs, Professor Nunu Geldiashvili; Speaker of the Representative Council, Professor Manana Garibashvili; and Coordinator of the Horizon Europe University Grant Office, Associate Professor Ketevan Shashviashvili.
