TeSaU Representatives were at the University of Cork under the "DITECH" Project

On April 18-23, 2023, within the framework of the European Union Erasmus+ project DITECH (Developing and Implementing Technology-Enhanced Teaching and Learning at Georgian HEIs), a meeting of project participants was held at the University of Cork (Ireland). The meeting was dedicated to the activities carried out within the project. Their quality was evaluated and future activities were planned.

The trainings and pilot courses conducted by the participating universities were discussed in detail at the meeting. From Telavi State University side, the trainings for the university academic staff, the pilot course and also all the dissemination activities carried out from the beginning of the project were presented.

The goal of the DITECH project is to improve the quality of higher education through the development and implementation of technology-enhanced teaching and learning in Georgian higher educational institutions. The project aims to create innovative programs and trainings to improve the digital competence and skills of academic staff, diversification of knowledge transfer methods, including through online/blended learning.

Georgian partners of the project are: Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University, the leading partner of the consortium. Coordinator of the Georgian side: Assoc. Prof. Izabela Petriashvili, Faculty of Psychology and Educational Sciences; Ilia State University; Samtskhe-Javakheti State University; Iakob Gogebashvili Telavi State University; Sokhumi State University; Batumi Shota Rustaveli State University; Akaki Tsereteli State University and National Center for Teacher Professional Development.

The foreign partners of the project are: Tallinn University (Estonia): Kaunas University of Technology (Lithuania) and University College Cork (Ireland).
