Iakob Gogebashvili Telavi State University professor Tengiz Simashvili has been awarded with his scientific achievements in the field of History. 
The Georgian National Academy of Sciences awarded Tesau professor with honorable testimonial in connection with the World Science Day for Peace and Development established by UNESCO.
Tengiz Simashvili is very active in his scientific-research work. He is the author of the works regarding Ilia Chavchavadze’s murder, revolutionary and terrorist organizations, secret police activities, Stalin’s life and other matters of historical importance.
Together with his research work, Telavi State University professor is actively conducting public lectures as well with the purpose of making popularization of the documents discovered by him.
Tengiz Simashvili was awarded by the president of the Georgian National Academy of Sciences – Giorgi Kvesitadze.
