On 8th of October Iakob Gogebashvili Telavi State University was visited by the famous Georgian writers.
Under the project “Animate Books” of the Ministry of Culture and Monument Protection of Georgia, a group of Georgian writers travels in different regions of the country.
The famous writers carried out meetings in several Municipalities of Kakheti within three days: Telavi, Akhmeta, Kvareli and Lagodekhi.
Ketevan Dumbadze (Nodar Dumbadze’s daughter), Mikheil Galishashvili, Temur Chkhetiani and others
met with the audience at Telavi Public School #4, Telavi Central Library and Iakob Gogebashvili Telavi State University.
The literary evening was opened by the head of Telavi City Hall Culture Office, Pikria Kushitashvili. The writers spoke about Georgian literary tendencies and read their creations to the attending society.
A collection of the famous writer Zina Solomnishvili’s rhymes – “Skhivta Tsvimebi” was given to the guests by Tesau library.
The project involving 75 writers is supported by Telavi City Hall.
