The Dissertation Board of Iakob Gogebashvili Telavi State University Faculty of Humanities conferred Sophio Kitesashvili the academic degree of the Doctor of Philology.

The Dissertation Board reviewed Sophio Kitesashvili’s dissertation work – “Aleksandre Kalandadze – Writer, Scientist, Public Figure” on July 1, 2016. (Academic supervisors: Doctor of Philological Sciences, Honorary Professor Luiza Khvichia; Doctor of Philological Sciences, Professor Nino Kochloshvili. 

The main goal of the dissertation work is to research and analyze the activities of Aleksandre Kalandadze, create a creative portrait of the writer, find out the extent of his participation in the literary process, determine the main aspects of creativity – its heterogeneity, search passion, diversity prone. The goal is also to outline the importance of literary-critical legacy of Aleksandre Kalandadze in Georgian literature.
