On October 1-4, 2024, the first training of the ENRICHER-HUB project funded by the European Commission was held at one of the project’s Georgian partners Akaki Tsereteli Kutaisi State University.
The meeting was attended by project members Tamar Tamarashvili and Tengiz Simashvili from Telavi University, who took an active part in the training offered by Austrian, Finnish and Italian trainers.
The topic of the training was: history of sustainable tourism, stages of development, destination governance, consumer trends and behavior, compatibility of strategic development goals with the development of sustainable tourism, sharing of tourism best practices by trainers, and finally, all institutions using Pecha Kucha made a presentation regarding the challenges in sustainable tourism.
Management issues were also discussed at the meeting, short videos were planned and recorded for the purpose of disseminating the training and different project activities.
The next phase of the training is planned to be online in November.
