On September 9-10, 2024, the Batumi State Maritime Academy and the Navigation Teaching University hosted a discussion and a large stakeholders’ forum about the model developed within the framework of the DUGEOR funded by the European Commission. The rector of Telavi University, the head of the internationalization and public affairs office and the head of the center for commercialization of scientific research results and innovation development took part in the mentioned event.

Models of dual programs already developed by partner universities were discussed at the meeting, experiences of European partners were shared, and opinions of employers and students were heard. Legislative changes are being developed for the dual program, which is undergoing active discussions not only with representatives of universities, but also with the general public.

The next project meeting will be held in November 2024 in Tbilisi, and Telavi University will host the DUGEOR project meeting in May 2025.
