Within the scope of “European Neighborhood Programme for Agriculture and Rural Development (ENPARD)”, Georgian Institute of Public Affairs in partnership of the Caucasus Environmental  NGO Network  (CENN) and Research Centre (PMC) fulfils the project “Empowering Modern Research Practices of the Regional Agriculture-Related Institutions”. 

Under the abovementioned project, a meeting was held at Iakob Gogebashvili Telavi State University on February 12th. 

The project aims to build capacity of the regional universities through trainings and joint research into key problem areas. According to the training organizers, it is important to boost the capacity of universities to advise regional bodies on agricultural development, support their contributions to regional development plans and promote their role among key stakeholders, such as local governments, agribusinesses, cooperatives and farmers.

The project beneficiaries are Iakob Gogebashvili Telavi State University, Shota Rustaveli Batumi State University and Samtskhe-Javakheti State University.
