TeSaU Project received Shota Rustaveli National Science Foundation Grant

Shota Rustaveli National Science Foundation evaluated Iakob Gogebashvili Telavi State University project with the highest point.

In State Scientific Grants Contest 2017 "Science begins from school – Research involving pupils", joint project of the University and Erekle II Telavi Public School #1 gained success among 20 projects.  

The project “Developing Research Skills among Pupils through Microbiological and Biochemical Researches with the purpose of producing Eco-Products with Natural Resources” aims to develop scientific research skills in public schools, raise students’ interest towards involving in scientific researches and develop network in non-target schools.

Among the project members are: King Erekle II Telavi Public School #1, Nana Garjikauli, Telavi State University PhD student, Telavi Public School #7 pedagogue, Natela Bagatrishvili and Telavi State University Dean of the Faculty of Exact and Natural Sciences, Professor Magda Davitashvili.

During the project implementation period public school pupils, involved in the research process, will use the University laboratories and conduct seminars for different groups of people together with the University scientists. Besides, during the project implementation period, Shota Rustaveli National Science Foundation will grant lab and computer technique to King Erekle II Telavi Public School #1.

Telavi State University and Telavi Public Schools’ joint project will be ended in May 2018.
