“Pragmatic Aspects of Negation in Languages of Different Systems” (based on the material of Georgian and English languages) – this thesis of Maia Advadze was maintained at Tesau Dissertation Board of the Faculty of Humanities on July 2.
The author of the dissertation emphasized negation as the linguistic phenomenon, ways of expression, scientific value of the dissertation, research methods and other essential issues.
Maia Advadze, who knows Georgian, English, German and Russian languages, is the Interpreter and Medical Doctor. She actively participates in different local or international, educational programs. Her biography is quite interesting.
After the opponents’ remarks and viewpoints the Dissertation Board evaluated her dissertation work as the important gaining for Georgian Linguistics and she was given the Doctor’s Academic Degree of Philology.
