Presentation of the monograph “The Power of Georgian Writing” written by Iakob Gogebashvili Telavi State University professor, doctor of philological sciences Roin Tchikadze was held in Georgian Literature session hall, the Academy of Sciences of Georgia on November 18, 2014 with the initiative of the Journal “Our Writing”.
Rostom Chkheidze – main editor of the Journal “Our Writing”; Ioseb Tchumburidze – Gori State University professor, main reporter; co-reporters: Tamila Zviadadze and Maia Kakachia – Sokhumi University professors; professor Vazha Shengelia and professor Tako Burtchuladze – scientists from Arnold Chikobava Institute of Linguistics, writer and critic Emzar Kvitaishvili; writer Tamaz Khmaladze – author and leader of the popular radio program – “Enai Shemkuli da Kurtkheuli”; Nunu Geldiashvili and Ramaz Meparishvili – Iakob Gogebashvili Telavi State University professors were participating in the process of discussion.
Tamaz Khmaladze, who couldn’t be involved in discussion for the first time because of his sickness, introduced Professor Giorgi Gogolashvili’s words to the attending society.
The reporters spoke about Roin Tchikadze’s personal dignities and his scientific-pedagogical activities; They gave high evaluation to the author’s research around the questions raised in the work and regarded the monograph “The Power of Georgian Writing” as quite a new word in the investigation of the writer’s language and style.
At the end of the presentation the author of the monograph expressed his gratitude towards the event.
