The State Minister of Georgia on European and Euro-Atlantic Integration, Viktor Dolidze met with Iakob Gogebashvili Telavi State University students on March 30.
The guest was hosted by the University Rector, Irma Shioshvili and State Governor in Kakheti Region, Irakli Kadagishvili.
The meeting was opened by TeSaU Rector. Irma Shioshvili emphasized the importance of visa liberalization that is quite essential for future generation.
The State Minister spoke about the significance of visa free travel to the EU and Schengen Area, new regulations and civic responsibility increase of Georgian population. He mentioned that “this is a significant political decision, political message to Georgian citizens that indeed, the door of Europe is open to Georgia; that both parties acknowledge political association, economic integration, deepening contacts, increase of mobility, more investment, more movement, more education, more prosperity for the citizens and future generations is the most important and corresponding decisions are implemented and fully complied with”.
In the second part of the meeting, the State Minister answered students’ questions.
Information Company regarding visa free travel to the EU/Shengen Member States is taking place at higher educational institutions of the country. Along with the State Minister of Georgia on European and Euro-Atlantic Integration, the Information Center on NATO and EU and other NGO representatives are involved in the abovementioned process as well.
