The conference – “Digital Aborigenes… We are Bukelebi… Episode First” took place at Iakob Gogebashvili Telavi State University on December 15. It was organized by TeSaU and the Faculty of Exact and Natural Sciences. The participants of the conference were V-VI grade pupils from Telavi Municipality Public Schools.

The conference aimed at revealing the best, original works of pupils covering computer graphics and electronic-animational presentation.

The meeting was opened by TeSaU Rector. Irma Shioshvili emphasized the importance of cooperation between the University and School.      

After the plenary and sectional work, the financial supporters (JSC “Liberty Bank” and “Wine Cellar”) rewarded the conference participants with diplomas and gifts.

According to the organizers (TeSaU Associate Professor Mariam Zakariashvili and the head technician – Irakli Tchitchashvili), the conference will promote improving pupils’ skills in using digital technologies and developing cooperation between the University and School.

The participants of the conference belonged to the generation gifted with the net-books “Buki” in 2010-2011 by the Ministry of Education and Science of Georgia for the first time. They are regarded as the “First Bukelebi”.
