DARE Consortium Meetings at TeSaU

DARE Consortium meetings are taking place at Iakob Gogebashvili Telavi State University.

The first plenary session was opened by TeSaU Rector on November 21. Irma Shioshvili greeted the professors from the Universities of Israel, England, Czechia, Romania, Lithuania and Georgia and wished them success. According to the Rector, after the multicultural project DOIT, DARE is the second successful one that gained great approval of EC (European Commission) experts. Along with the other European universities, Telavi State University is actively involved in the mentioned programs as well.

The project DARE aims to make favorable conditions for disadvantaged students at TeSaU. School-leavers’ preparatory courses for the target group of children are taking place at that stage. These courses are as follows: Georgian Language and Literature, General Skills and Mathematics, Foreign Language (Russian and English).

The first consortium meeting was held at Murcia University (Spain). The second consortium meeting – in Israel, Achva College and the third one is taking place at Telavi State University on November 21-24, 2016. 

Under the project “Developing programs for Access of disadvantaged groups of people and Regions to higher Education“ (DARE), the grant contract was signed among the University of Haifa, Israel and EU TEMPUS Program on November 27, 2015. One of the program beneficiaries is Telavi State University.
