Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University hosted Summer School in Applied Biosciences and Biotechnology (the project was funded by Shota Rustaveli National Science Foundation) on July 11-15, 2016.
Among Summer School participants and supporters were: Agrarian University of Georgia, University of the West of England, Thessaloniki Aristotle University, University of Alcala, Yerevan State University, George Eliava Institute of Bacteriophages, Microbiology and Virology and Wine Laboratory LTD.
Seasonal school aims to promote professional development of the students of Applied Biosciences and Biotechnology and related specialties after taking intensive one-week theoretical-practical course in different fields of biotechnological research. School participants were TSU and partner university students.
Iakob Gogebashvili Telavi State University Dean of the Faculty of Exact and Natural Sciences, Professor Magda Davitashvili was invited at the opening ceremony of the Summer School. Dean presented the main research fields of the faculty and spoke about the importance and role of the Summer School for students.
After passing tests successfully, Telavi State University students were awarded with certificates.
