On May 13-17th, Kutaisi State University hosted training for the professors of Georgian Universities. The training was held under the international project “Academic Integrity for Quality Teaching and Learning in Higher Education Institutions in Georgia (INTEGRITY)”.
Iakob Gogebashvili Telavi State University Head of International Relations Office, Tamar Aslanishvili, Head of Public Relations Office, Nino Kakhashvili, Academic Writing Specialist, Sophio Arsenishvili and Electronic Management Systems Specialist, Tarash Giorgadze participated in the abovementioned training.
During the meeting Academic Writing syllabus and methods for its improvement, anti-plagiarism measurements, student-support services and other related issues had been discussed.
Ilia State University is the coordinator of the project INTEGRITY. European Partners are: Great Britain, Sweden, Austria and Ireland. The project is of national value and it provides active involvement of Georgian higher educational institutions in anti-plagiarism campaign along with the Ministry of Education and Science of Georgia and National Center for Educational Quality Enhancement.
The project aims at conducting active pr campaign against plagiarism, developing teaching modules, focusing on academic integrity and informing students in that regard.
