An informational meeting was held in TeSaU within the framework of the project "Research Integrity and Ethics in Georgian Universities (ETHICS)"

On April 6, a workshop was held at Telavi State University within the framework of the international project - Responsible Conduct of Research - "Research Integrity and Ethics in Georgian Universities (ETHICS)".

The project manager, Tamar Aslanishvili, presented information about the project to the academic staff of the university and the representatives of the relevant structural units.

The goal, objectives and expected outcomes of the project were discussed at the meeting. TeSaU staff got acquainted with the terms of the works to be implemented and other activities. The meeting continued in the question-answer mode and was positively evaluated by the project employees, because the abovementioned project will contribute to raising the integrity of research in universities.

The project is being implemented under the coordination of Ilia State University and will contribute to raising the research culture in universities. Its main objective is to improve research ethics and integrity mechanisms, procedures and services at the university level. Along with 10 Georgian universities, the European partners of the consortium are the Free University of Amsterdam, Charles University, Masaryk University and the European Network/Association for Academic Integrity.

The non-university partners of the project are: the Ministry of Education and Science of Georgia, National Center for Educational Quality Enhancement and Shota Rustaveli National Science Foundation of Georgia. The project was financed by the European Commission and will be implemented for four years.
