Project about improving cultural heritage conditions of the monuments included within the “UNESCO” list

On September 25-29, 2021, a meeting was held in Varna City, Bulgaria within the framework of the Black Sea Basin Project - “BSB831 HERIPRENEURSHIP” – “Establishing Long-Lasting Partnerships to Upgrade Heritage-Based Offers and Create New Investment Opportunities in Tourism and the Cultural and Creative Industries at UNESCO Designated Areas in The Black Sea Basin”. The meeting was attended by the project partner organizations and other interested parties from Bulgaria.

The project participants visited the UNESCO protected monument “Nessebar” as one of the project geolocations,  attended the official tourism “expo” opening  and listened presentations from the representatives of different countries.

The last meeting day covered the study visit evaluation matters and planning the next project steps.

The project partners are as follows: Development Agency of Kavala (Greece); The “Danube Black Sea” University Foundation (Romania); Union of Bulgarian Black Sea Local Authorities; National Inbound Tourism Association of Moldova; Iakob Gogebashvili Telavi State University (Georgia) and  “Eastern Black Sea Development Agency” (Turkey).

Georgian representatives attended the meeting in an online format providing the restrictions established for covidpandemic prevention and the fact that Georgia is included in the list of “Red Zone” countries by Bulgaria.
