Iakob Gogebashvili Telavi State University professors and students were awarded with the certificates of George Eliava Institute of Bacteriophages, Microbiology and Virology.
Dean of the faculty of Exact and Natural Sciences, Professor Magda Davitashvili, II course students of the bachelor educational program of Biology, Ketevan Photova and Tamila Shiukashvili, I course student of the single-cycle educational program – Doctor of Dental Medicine – Ioseb Mzekalashvili, PhD students of the faculty of Education Sciences – Nana Garjikauli and Natela Bagatrishvili participated in the summer school taking place at George Eliava Institute of Bacteriophages, Microbiology and Virology on June 24-25.
Summer school work was attended by the students and young researchers from different higher educational institutions.
The school aim was to introduce the structure of bacteriphages, their role in the environment and usage potential to the students and young researchers. Lectures were conducted by the leading specialists invited from England, Canada, Belgium and Georgia. Summer school was arranged within the international scientific conference dedicated to 100th anniversary of discovering bacteriophage phenomenon.
