“Georgian Center for Security and Development” implements the project – “Youths for Security”. Within the project, the mentioned Non-governmental Organization will select 10 students and organize 3-days visit for them in different corresponding organizations and agencies in Tbilisi. Students will have a chance to submit projects. The best 3 projects will be supported by “Georgian Center for Security and Development”.
Within the framework of the abovementioned project, the former ambassador of Georgia in NATO and the founder of “Georgian Center for Security and Development” Mr. Levan Dolidze conducted a public lecture at Iakob Gogebashvili Telavi State University on December 10. The lecture covered the topic “Conversations about the Foreign Policy of Georgia and National Security”. Conversation was about the myths and reality existing around NATO and EU.
At the meeting with Tesau professors-teachers and students it was mentioned that the most important thing for society is not to make exaggerated expectation around Georgia’s integration with NATO and EU. The meeting also covered those positive steps made by the government and NGOs.
The second part of the meeting continued in the form of dialogue. Students got detailed answers on the essential issues.
The project “Youths for Security” is implemented by “Georgian Center for Security and Development” and the East-West Management Institute. It aims to raise awareness of the youths living in the regions on foreign policy priorities and national security challenges facing Georgia.
