PhD student Ia Nadiradze defended dissertation at Iakob Gogebashvili Telavi State University Faculty of Humanities on January 26. The title of the dissertation work is “Typological Relations

of Novella Language in the Georgian and English Languages” (academic supervisors: Professor Nunu Geldiashvili and Professor Manana Garibashvili).

The research goal is to reveal similarities and differences based on the in-depth contrastive analysis of the Georgian and English novellas that is characterized to both languages and simultaneously, to the novellas of each language.

The dissertation work will definitely have theoretical and practical value, as it will contribute the development of typological linguistics.

Ia Nadiradze was awarded the academic degree of the Doctor of Philology.
