Iakob Gogebashvili Telavi State University project – “Textual Criticism and Editorial Studies” (supervisor – Professor Ketevan Gigashvili, co-supervisor – Professor Maia Ninidze) – won Shota Rustaveli National Science Foundation grants contest of the development of structured PhD programs and got the grant in the amount of 216 422 GEL.
The project covers three years and its main goal is to structure-develop the accredited doctoral program of “Textual Criticism and Editorial Studies”.
The project will be implemented along with Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University and Birmingham University (United Kingdom).
The foreign expert of the project, David Parker, is the director of Birmingham University Institute of Textual Criticism and Electronic Editing. He was the lecturer of Cambridge and Oxford Universities at different times. Significant part of David Parker’s projects and investigations includes textual researches and academic publications.
Three doctorate students, under the project, will get scholarship in the amount of 800 GEL within three years.
Selection procedure of scholars will take place in the nearest future, when admission to the mentioned doctorate program is announced.
