Dissertation Board meeting of the Faculty of Exact and Natural Sciences took place at Iakob Gogebashvili Telavi State University on June 23, 2016.

Dissertation work of Mikheil Phiphia – “Climatology of Hailstorms in the East Georgia” was reviewed by the Dissertation Board. (Academic supervisors: Doctor of Geographical Sciences, Professor Elizbar Elizbarashvili; Doctor of Physical-Mathematical Sciences Avtandil Amiranashvili).

The main goal of the research is to study climatological characteristics of hailstorms in the East Georgia according to 1961-2014 data.

After the viewpoints expressed by the Dissertation Board members, Mikheil Phiphia was awarded the Academic Degree of the Doctor of Geography.
