On November 6, students of the faculty of Humanities carried out a special literary event dedicated to Akaki Tsereteli’s life and creation.
Students spoke about the period covering Akaki’s childhood, family, gymnasium years, his poetry and prose.
What kind of public work did he implement and how did he travel to different parts of Georgia? Who were his friends? How the well-known “Suliko” was made and how did the poet spend his last years? – these and other important episodes from Akaki’s life were recalled by the students under a music and a slide-show.
Literary event – “Akaki from Students’ Viewpoint” – was organized by Telavi State University faculty of Humanities and Department of Georgian Philology.
