The GastroTour Stakeholder Engagement Workshop and project management meeting was successfully held on 17–22 November 2025 in South Africa, hosted by Stellenbosch University, the Cape Peninsula University of Technology (CPUT) , project SA industry partner Creation and funded by the Erasmus+ Programme of the European Union.

On 15 October, within the framework of the Scientific Festival, an exhibition space was arranged at Telavi State University, featuring promotional materials published under the Erasmus+ project “Responsible Conduct of Research – Research Integrity and Ethics in Georgian Universities” (ETHICS).

At Telavi State University, a public lecture on the topic “The Human Place in the Food Chain – from the Perspective of Food Product Technology” was delivered by gastroenterologist, hepatologist, and infectious disease specialist Dr. Shota Rainauli.

On 11 October, Tamar Agladze, a doctoral student of the Faculty of Social Sciences, Business and Law, successfully defended her dissertation.

The closing event of the 2025 Science Festival was held at Iakob Gogebashvili Telavi State University and was attended by the Minister of Education, Science and Youth of Georgia, Mr. Givi Mikanadze.

On September 23, 2025, Iakob Gogebashvili Telavi State University hosted the official opening of the Enricher-Hub space, established within the framework of the European Commission–funded project.

On 17 September 2025, Iakob Gogebashvili Telavi State University hosted a training session entitled “Digital Skills Training: Visualisation and Project Management.”

An international meeting of the ETHICS Consortium, a project funded by the European Commission, “Research Integrity and Ethics in Georgian Universities,” was held at Masaryk University in Brno, Czech Republic.

Telavi State University was visited by Mr. Torang Pakpahan, Senior Counsellor of the Embassy of the Republic of Indonesia.

Within the framework of the project “WAGER – Winning Against Geological Risks in the Peaceful Caucasus,” an international summer school was held at Iakob Gogebashvili Telavi State University.

On June 23-24, a national workshop was held in Telavi within the framework of the project “Responsible Conduct of Research – Research Integrity and Ethics in Georgian Universities (ETHICS)” funded by the European Commission.

On July 16, an Info meeting was held TESAU Horizon Europe Grant Office, bringing together academic staff, researchers, and doctoral students. The event featured representatives from the Horizon Europe National Office of Georgia, who provided an overview of current funding opportunities under the Horizon Europe program. Within the framework of the Erasmus+ project PRODIGE, Telavi State University representatives — Associate Professor Ana Gigauri, member of the project’s academic staff; Associate Professor Salome Tatulishvili, Head of the University’s Quality Assurance Office; and Maka Kochauri, the project’s institutional coordinator — attended a series of training sessions held at Batumi State Maritime Academy.

The event was attended by final-year Bachelor's, Master's, and Doctoral students. The Head of the Center for Academic Integrity and Student Consultation, Nino Kakhaishvili, provided students with comprehensive information on formatting written assignments using the APA (American Psychological Association) style.

The European action NCP4Missions together with the European Commission is organizing the Horizon Europe Missions Brokerage Event on the 2025 Missions calls for proposals.

The first meeting of the project GastroTour, funded by the Erasmus+ program, was held in TeSaU.

The Higher Education Capacity Development Project “GastroTour” funded by the Erasmus+ program at Telavi State University has officially launched.

The Horizon Europe Grant Office of Telavi State University had the honor of hosting Dr. Natalya Solomatina, European Project Manager at the University of Santiago de Compostela, Spain.

During the meeting, Associate Professor Ketevan Shashviashvili provided an in-depth overview of relevant research directions and potential funding opportunities within the framework of the European Union’s Horizon Europe research and innovation programme.

As part of the Innovative TeSaU program, a Fulbright grantee conducted a course of lectures for TeSaU students on the concepts and practices of Design Thinking.

Within the framework of the ENRICHER Hub project, Comrat State University of the Republic of Moldova hosted a four-day training.

From December 8–12, 2024, Iakob Gogebashvili Telavi State University hosted a meeting within the framework of the project “Promoting Value-Based Education in Higher Education Institutions of the South Caucasus.” The meeting was attended by project partners from Europe, Armenia, and Georgia, while Azerbaijani institutions participated online.

On November 20, 2024, the online working meeting of the European Commission-funded project "ETHICS" unfolded with a sense of purpose and collaboration. Members of the fifth working group, guided by the European partner group leaders, gathered virtually to review their progress and align their efforts.

Project manager Maka Kochauri, dean of the Faculty of Agrarian, Natural Sciences and Technologies Levan Shavadze and project senior researcher Zurab Tsignadze presented a report on the activities carried out within the project framework to the representatives of the faculty administration.

On November 14-15, 2024, the Georgian Institute of Public Affairs (GIPA) hosted the fourth work package meeting within the framework of the DUGEOR project, funded by the European Commission. The primary objective of the meeting was to assess the progress made in developing a legal and strategic framework for the implementation of dual higher education, including proposed amendments to the Law on Higher Education.

From November  4 to 7, 2024, the second phase of the training series under the ENRICHER HUB project, funded by the European Commission, was successfully conducted online.

On November 6, 2024 Telavi State University Horizon Europe grant office organized a training session for TESAU academic staff and young researchers on the topic of the key sections (Excellence, Impact and Implementation) of a Horizon Europe proposal. The session was conducted by the Grant Office Coordinator, Assoc. Prof. Ketevan Shashviashvili.

On October 16, 2024, Iakob Gogebashvili Telavi State University  hosted the PROVE online meeting held in the frame of the European Commission funded project "Promotion of value education for higher educational institutions of the South Caucasus"   Project partners from Europe, Armenia, Azerbaijan and Georgia attended the meeting.

On October 1-4, 2024, the first training of the ENRICHER-HUB project funded by the European Commission was held at one of the project’s Georgian partners Akaki Tsereteli Kutaisi State University.

TeSaU staff visited Italy within the framework of the ERASMUS+ "3E-Partnership" project The staff of Iakob Gogebashvili Telavi State University attended meetings held within the framework of the "3E-Partnership" at the Polytechnic University of Milan, Italy.

On September 17-20, 2024, Telavi University hosted a workshop conducted by Swedish professors. The meeting was held within the framework of the CIF project (integration of innovative agro-technologies in educational programs).

TeSaU staff visited KU Leuven University in Belgium Within the framework of the 3E-Partnership project, TeSaU staff visited the University of Leuven in Ghent, Belgium.

On September 9-10, 2024, the Batumi State Maritime Academy and the Navigation Teaching University hosted a discussion and a large stakeholders’ forum about the model developed within the framework of the DUGEOR funded by the European Commission.

On July 11, 2024, a meeting was held with the heads of the PhD programs operating at Iakob Gogebashvili Telavi State University. Meeting held within the framework of the ETHICS project.

Telavi State University Horizon Europe Grants Office Coordinator - Assoc. Professor Ketevan Shashviashvili, as a successful applicant of the “Qualification Enhancement Program Abroad 2023-2024” (funded by LEPL International Education Center of Georgia) participated in an intensive certification course “Denmark-Georgia Study Tour for Research Managers and Administrators (27May-1June 2024) organized by DARMA, a leading Danish association in the field of science management.

On July 4, the meeting of the second working group of the Georgian partners of the Ethics project co-financed by the European Commission was held.

Horizon Europe National Office of Georgia in collaboration with the NATI00NS project is organizing the National Engagement Event in Tbilisi that will take place on the 27 May 2024 at 12:00 with the possibility to attend online. The event aims to increase national involvement in the implementation of the EU Soil Mission.
