Iakob Gogebashvili Telavi State University Public Relations Office has been functioning since 2004.

Main fields of Public Relations Office are as follows: creating an effective system for giving information about the activities being implemented at the University, establishing active communication with public, elucidating all University occurrences in an objective manner.

Public Relations Office provides popularization of the University activities. It collaborates with the state and nongovernmental sectors, different media sources.

Public Relations Office has the following functions:

• Making interuniversity communications;
• Administrating the University official website, facebook page and ensuring  them with the information;
• Establishing relations with governmental sectors, educational-scientific institutions, media, nongovernmental and other organizations, implementing  joint activities;
• Making popularization of the University faculties, offices/departments, their activities, as well as academic staff;
• Planning-arranging community representatives’ meetings with the Rector, Head of Administration and academic staff;
• Organizing press conferences, special briefings, interviews, as well as meetings, seminars, trainings, PR actions in case of need;
• Publishing official appeals and announcements on behalf of the University;
• Making popularization of international partners, relations, projects. Ensuring media coverage of delegations, official visits and other activities.
