A Republican Conference “School and University” was held at Telavi State University on the initiative of the Faculty of Humanities. The arrangement was prepared by doctorate students from the same faculty together with the faculty dean’s office. They invited public school pupils who made the following reports: Lika Shiukashvili (Telavi Public School #1) – “Georgian Himnographic Monuments of the Renaissance”, supervisor – doctorate student Mariam Khanjaliashvili; Tamar Zuroshvili ( Village Kisiskhevi Public School) – “Ilia Tchavtchavadze’s Martyr Way”, supervisor – doctorate student Tsitsino Lapauri; Mariam Kurashidze (Village Kisiskhevi Public School) – “National-religious Ideology in Georgian Hagiography”, supervisor – doctorate student Tsitsino Lapauri; Luka Tatarashvili (Telavi Public School #1) – “Gender and School”, supervisor – doctorate student Maia Kobakhidze.
Nino Kotchloshvili, Dean of the Faculty of Humanities: “Today it is a very important day not only for the University, but also for the representatives of those schools who had an honor of being the first participants of the newly formed conference “School and University”. Reports, which were presented by the public school pupils, were innovative and quite interesting. I hope that today’s conference will be the beginning for the successful future relationship between the University and pupils”.
Tamar Zuroshvili, pupil: “I have chosen the subject “Ilia Tchavtchavadze’s Martyr Way” because I considered it more actual and interesting topic for the audience. Today’s conference made the relationship between Telavi State University and me steadier”.
The Republican Conference was attended by Tesau professors, teachers and students.
